Living Collaborations

These works develop through sustained collaboration with living plants and the environments in which they grow. Rather than using plants as representations of nature, I work with them as living participants whose needs, growth, and responses shape the work.

The projects bring together living plants, handmade structures, textiles, and other materials to create environments in which human and nonhuman lives intersect. Care is not simply a condition of maintaining the work, but part of its material and conceptual structure.

Working increasingly from the domestic environment, I explore the possibilities and responsibilities of living alongside other species. These collaborations extend my longstanding interest in attention, reciprocity, and ecological interdependence into intimate, everyday spaces.
