Baby Greens Garden

Here is an, it’s so simple anyone can do it, greens garden I keep on my patio. Just a set of ordinary 12″ clay pots, some organic soil and seeds. I’ve planted kale, chard, beets, carrots, lettuce cabbage and a few peas. Rather than waiting for the plants to mature, I just pick leaves for the day and leave everything to keep growing–a continuous supply of baby greens. My new favorite breakfast is a peanut butter banana smoothie with kale. Everyone winces when I mention the last ingredient, but trust me, it’s delicious. Give it a try.
Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie (with Kale)
1 cup almond, soy, or hemp milk
1 T black strap molasses
2 T peanut butter
1 frozen banana
1 small handfull of kale (or your favorite greens)
Put all ingredients into a blender and process until smooth.
